SEATTLE — Summer is a time for road trips, family gatherings, and eating out, but those everyday expenses can add up quickly.

From gas to restaurants to wireless bills, small price increases can quietly strain household budgets. “Summer price creep” is a term that typically refers to seasonal travel, car rentals, and utilities that slightly edge up over the summer months, according to AARP.

Trae Bodge, a smart shopping and money-saving expert, joined ARC Seattle’s Steve McCarron and Patrick Hussion to share some brand new AARP research and some simple ways that families can keep more money in their pockets this summer.
