Huawei Mate XT 2 will launch around Apple’s foldable phone timeline, and a new leak says that the company has just increased the stock volume of its upcoming tri-fold model to give tough competition to the US tech giant in September this year.
FixedFocus on Weibo stated that the Huawei Mate XT 2 stock volume is way more than Apple’s first foldable. The Chinese OEM has not only exceeded the previous generation but also its upcoming rival in terms of new product inventory.
Early inputs suggested that Apple has kept iPhone Ultra’s stock limited due to the “market response” reason. The company initially wanted to check how its first foldable performs in the market amid the premium devices.
On the other hand, Huawei has a stable foldable supply chain, which helps it to maintain sufficient stock. Even though the company is still facing certain challenges in chip production, it has a mature folding phone manufacturing and supply process.
And an increase in the Mate XT 2 volume over Apple’s first foldable won’t be a surprise! Huawei also aims to retain its lead in the folding device market. Thus, the company will put in efforts to remain ahead of Apple in every aspect, including stock.
Mate XT 2 triple foldable smartphone is expected to go official in September – the same time as when the Cupertino firm will introduce the iPhone Ultra in the market.
Huawei is also making prominent changes regarding design, chipset, as well as battery boost. The company may also introduce new popping colors for the new-generation tri-fold to make it look more appealing.
Whether Huawei will continue to win the premium foldable competition or if Apple will take the crown this time for its first-ever folding creation will come to light by late third quarter.
