Tom Holland has faced super villains and would be usurpers, but he finally lost the battle to a handful of hot wings.

Holland appeared on “Hot Ones,” the YouTube-based interview show where celebrity guests answer questions while eating progressively hotter chicken wings, with his “Odyssey” and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” co-star Jon Bernthal and ended up making history as the first celebrity to lose their lunch on camera.

The actor appeared to be doing fairly well during the 30-minute interview with host Sean Evans, chomping on the spicy wings with confidence.

But near the end of the video, both he and Bernthal were clearly struggling, coughing and sputtering as they tried to quench the fire in their throats with a glass of milk. “It’s amazing how the milk helps and then immediately it comes right back,” Holland said.

Holland didn’t break until the very last piece of the interview, where he stood alongside Evans and Bernthal to film an outro for the episode. That’s when he started to cough and then abruptly bent over out of frame and puked.

Thankfully we don’t see the contents of his stomach, but they whole room exploded in laughter and cheers. “You can use that!” Holland told producers, adding proudly “Look, Louis Vuitton, I got none of it on my clothes!”

Bernthal then asked Evans if anyone had puked before and the host replied it might be the “first on set ever.”

“I love being the first,” Holland said jokingly.

Hopefully the moment helped Holland recover his cool because he mentioned earlier in the episode that after filming “Hot Ones” he was due to hang out with kids for an event promoting “Spider-Man” and wasn’t sure how he’d handle it while digesting the intense heat from the wings.
