A limited‑edition We Are Rewind × Pink Floyd WE‑001 cassette player arrives in a box set bundled with the 50th‑anniversary remaster of The Dark Side of the Moon. The rechargeable cassette player supports Bluetooth and wired headphones, recording, and Type I–IV tape playback.
We Are Rewind has released a limited-edition Pink Floyd version of its WE-001 cassette player/recorder in a special box collection that includes the 50th anniversary remastered release of the The Dark Side of the Moon.
We Are Rewind released the WE-001 in 2023, offering owners a rechargeable player that includes both wired 3.5 mm and wireless Bluetooth 5.1 headphone support. The 3.5 mm jack has a rated output of 2 mW per channel at 32 ohms.
The WE-001 is compatible with Type I normal to Type IV metal cassette tapes for playback and Type I cassettes for recording. The WE-001 is said to have a frequency response of 30 Hz to 14,500 Hz when playing Type I cassettes, with a claimed SNR of 50 dB, distortion of 0.3%, and wow and flutter of 0.2%. When recording, it has a frequency range of 30 Hz to 10 kHz with Type I cassettes, SNR of 45 dB, and distortion of 1%.
The built-in 2,000 mAh lithium-ion battery can power the player for up to 12 hours, says the company. The player weighs 404 g (14.3 oz.) and measures 140.8 x 88.8 x 33.5 mm (5.5 x 3.5 x 1.3 in.).
The limited-edition We Are Rewind × Pink Floyd collector’s box set is available from the company’s website for $199.
