Ann Kelly, the longtime morning host of Cox Media Group soft AC “105.5 The Dove” WDUV, is retiring after a 38-year career with the company.

Kelly arrived in Tampa Bay from Syracuse in 1988 and went on to become one of the market’s most recognizable and trusted radio personalities. She has hosted mornings on “The Dove” since 2011. In 2021, Kelly received the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Marconi Award for Large Market Personality of the Year.

Throughout her career, Kelly incorporated her travels and discoveries around Florida into her “AnnVenture” stories for listeners. Her interest in cooking also led to “Ann Kelly’s Kitchen,” a blog featuring recipes, kitchen tips and food-related stories.

Kelly has also been active in the Tampa Bay community, supporting charitable organizations and advocating for causes that have personal significance. She has spoken publicly about her experience with Lupus, supported the Suncoast Animal League and served as a board member of the Tampa Bay Arthritis Foundation.

Her weekly “What’s Good in Tampa Bay” feature highlights local nonprofits, community events and organizations working throughout the region.

“Her talent, compassion, authenticity, and unwavering commitment to serving our community have defined what local radio should be,” said Jason Meder, Vice President and Market Manager of Cox Media Group Tampa Bay. “While we will miss hearing her every morning, her impact on our listeners, our station, and Tampa Bay will be felt for generations. We congratulate Ann on an incredible career and wish her nothing but happiness in this well-earned next chapter.”

Details on Kelly’s final broadcast and an on-air celebration will be announced in the coming weeks. WDUV plans to invite listeners to celebrate Kelly’s career and legacy with the station.
