“With the assistance of Eagle [the police helicopter], the stolen vehicle and the offender were located in Beachlands.”
A 20-year-old man was arrested without incident, with a firearm subsequently located in the vehicle, police said.
“Charges are pending.”
The most direct route between Onehunga and Beachlands is 29km in length, with travel times varying between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the time of day.
