She told the publication: “He’s really good at reminding both of us that we have to keep communication open. He’s the greatest talker, and he’s not inhibited at all with expressing his feelings, which is really wonderful in a man.
“If you have a man that is really open and wants to keep the communication open, you’re blessed as a woman.
“[I’m] a good communicator … [but I] meditate over the issue, take a walk or be alone with my guitar if I’m having a marital issue. Fred wants to talk about it. He wants to talk it through, and he wants to fix it. And that’s the best advice. I mean, he’s not wrong.”
Twain previously opened up about her marriage in a candid interview with The Sun newspaper, saying: “I think love is a scary thing and it’s all about risk, as you just don’t know where it’s going to end up, do you?
“You have to enter it as a risk-taker, so if you’re not in the spirit or the mood of taking chances, then maybe it’s not the right time in your life to fall in love or to get involved.
“But sometimes love is such a strong attraction you just can’t help yourself. So I think that is the moment where you have to just let go and throw in the towel to any reluctance or self-protection. You just have to be vulnerable.”
