DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) – Refunds are on the way for Rock the South customers who requested them; a concert organizer confirmed to 48 News Friday morning.
Customers who requested refunds say they were supposed to be processed by July 29, leaving many of them wondering where their refunds are two days later.
Many have reached out to us, saying they are owed thousands of dollars and have been unable to contact anyone associated with Rock the South.
One concert organizer responded to us Friday morning, saying that refunds have been sent but they take time to reach customer’s bank accounts. Shortly after, we received the following statement.
The Rock the South refund process was initiated on July 29 as stated in the initial [timeline.]
Some ticket holders will see credits to their accounts or payment source as early as today with some following next week. Buyers are being emailed with updates. Thank you.
Many customers requested refunds this summer after organizers announced the three-day country music concert would be delayed until October because of rain damage to the festival grounds.
Customers were told they could request a refund if they could not attend or did not want to attend the now 4-day concert this fall.
