Funny, charming, and with great little ditties by our very own The Front Lawn, it’s directed by the always witty Harry Sinclair. Unlike many shows aimed at pre-schoolers, Kiri and Lou never tries to talk down to kids, or hit home some kind of messaging. It’s cheeky and it’s kind and it’s very silly, and any take -home messages are there for kids to pick up on if they want to. There are always songs, but they’re not cheesy, they’re whimsical and melodic. It’s just a really good time and the claymation, done completely by hand by NZ animation studio Stretchy, is vivid and charming.
