A person has died after being hit by a car in Whanganui.
Emergency services were called to Puriri St in Gonville just after 8.30pm yesterday to reports a car had hit a pedestrian near the intersection with Rogers St.
“Sadly, despite medical attention, the pedestrian died at the
scene”, said a police spokesperson.
