TMZ is reporting that Sid Wilson is no longer a member of Iowa heavy metal band Slipknot.

According to TMZ, which cited a source close to the band with direct knowledge of the situation, Wilson was informed Friday afternoon that he had been permanently removed as the band’s DJ and keyboardist.

Neither Wilson nor Slipknot has publicly confirmed the report, and no reason for the reported departure has been announced.

Wilson, known to fans as #0, has been with Slipknot since the band’s formation in 1999 and is one of its nine original members.

Slipknot, formed in Des Moines, has not commented publicly on the report as of Saturday afternoon.
