The Wales family took a break from their summer vacation to watch the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. Prince William and Kate Middleton brought their three children along—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—to what is being described as the kids’ first official public engagement in Scotland.

For the sporty outing, brothers Louis and George wore button-down shirts, while Charlotte was in a polka dot dress. The Princes and Princess of Wales, meanwhile, both wore blazers; Kate’s looks to be a forest green one from Ralph Lauren.

The last time the Waleses stepped out as a family of five was for Trooping the Colour in June, and for Easter Sunday church services in April. In addition, William and Kate brought Prince George and Princess Charlotte to the Wimbledon men’s finals; they all met winner Jannik Sinner after his victory.

Other members of the royal family have attended the Commonwealth Games so far this summer, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh. The games, held every four years, are a version of the Olympics—but specifically for athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations.
“Seeing the Batons arrive into Scotland today, in all their colorful glory, carried by inspiring athletes and para-athletes, reminds us once again that the Commonwealth is a unique and extraordinary family of nations,” King Charles said in his remarks during the opening ceremony. He added, “As we gather, we celebrate the dedication and talent of every athlete and team. Your perseverance inspires us, and we eagerly anticipate your achievements in the coming days.”
