EXCLUSIVE: Ashley Thomas (Hostage) and Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story) are set as series regulars opposite Alison Brie in FX‘s Untitled Witness Protection pilot from writers, executive producers and showrunners Hannah Fidell and Gina Welch.

The project, from FX Productions, is a contemporary take on an unproduced script by David Chase, who previously was attached. In it, a violent confrontation drives a high-end D.C. madam, Remy (Brie), to turn on her partner and enter witness protection in seaside Maine with her adolescent daughter.

Thomas will play Isaac, Remy’s stern but caring FBI handler. Wittrock plays Remy’s charming but manipulative ex-business partner.

In addition to Brie, Thomas and Wittrock join previously cast series regulars Pablo Schreiber, Zoë Chao, Jamie Neumann, Antonella Rose and guest star/recurring Aidan Gillen.

Wittrock has appeared in five installments of American Horror Story on FX, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, also on FX, as well as Murphy’s HBO movie The Normal Heart and Netflix series Ratched, earning Emmy nominations for AHS: Freak Show and Versace. He can most recently be seen starring in the indie Westhampton, which premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival. Wittrock is repped by CAA, Mosaic, Weissenbach Management and Schreck Rose Dapello.

British actor-rapper Thomas also has a history with FX, starring in the network’s limited series Great Expectations with Olivia Coleman, for which he received a Royal Television Society Award nomination. Thomas can currently be seen in the Netflix limited series Hostage and in the Channel 4 series In Flight. His recent series credits include Starz’s Serpent Queen and Hulu’s Black Cake. Thomas is repped by CAA and Independent Talent Group.
