Hollywood actress AnnaLynne McCord and retired English rugby union player Danny Cipriani are campaigning to the public to crowdfund their upcoming wedding, despite having a combine net worth of $11 million.
McCord, 39, who is best known for her role in 90210, and Cipriani, launched a Honeyfund website asking for donations to cover their Los Angeles wedding on October 22.

“Gift any amount, contribute to our journey!” the registry read.
“Help us create our dream wedding and honeymoon experience with any amount of donation.”
The website invited guests to donate for specific wedding expenses including US$600 for floral arrangements, $500 for the rehearsal dinner, $300 for wedding photography, $250 for catering and $200 for reception beverages.
The registry functioned so that guests could select an item and then add it to their online cart for purchases.
Guests could also opt to make a general donation to the nuptials, and could gift anywhere between US$10 and $5,0000.
With reports of McCord and Cipriani’s crowd-funded wedding circulating, internet users expressed their outrage.
“The embarrassment and audacity of this,” one wrote.

Another agreed it was “wild and tacky” but put the blame on guests who were willing to donate to McCord and Cipriani.
A third couldn’t believe the couple were asking in the first place.
“Ridiculous. For heaven’s sake, you are adults, pay for your own wedding or tone it down,” they commented.

Some did come to the couple’s defence, noting guests didn’t have to contribute and that it was their wedding day and nobody else’s opinion should matter.
McCord rose to fame as Eden Lord in the hit series Nip/Tuck in 2007 before taking on the role of Naomi Clark in the Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot from 2008 to 2013.
She joined the cast of beloved soap series Days of Our Lives in 2024 and has an estimated single net worth of US$4 million ($5.7 million).
Alongside her acting career, McCord is also an activist and reiki master.
