Beasley Media Group is selling two FM signals to Educational Media Foundation/K-Love, Inc. (EMF), with CHR “Kiss 95.1” WNKS-FM in Charlotte, NC, and the KXTE-FM 107.5 signal in Las Vegas changing ownership in transactions expected to close in mid-October.

The deals are subject to customary closing conditions, including Federal Communications Commission approval.

As part of the Charlotte transaction, Beasley will move the “Maney and LauRen” morning show from “Kuss 95.1” to adult hits sister station “K104.7” WKQC-FM. The duo will continue hosting mornings on weekdays for Charlotte listeners.

In Las Vegas, the modern/alternative programming currently heard on KXTE-FM will move to KVGS-FM (104.9), allowing listeners to continue hearing the station’s existing format and branding following the completion of the sale. KVGS is currently hot-AC formatted.

The transactions are part of Beasley Media Group’s ongoing portfolio management strategy, according to CEO Caroline Beasley.

“These transactions reflect our continued commitment to strategically managing our portfolio while preserving the outstanding local brands and personalities our audiences know and love,” Beasley said. “We’re excited that Charlotte listeners will continue to be able to be entertained by Maney and Lauren on 104.7 WKQC, and that our Las Vegas audience will continue to enjoy the KXTE brand on KVGS.”

K-Love already owns two full-power stations in both of the markets. In Charlotte, the group currently owns contemporary Christian “K-Love” network affiliates WLXK (88.3) and WRCM (91.9). And in Las Vegas, the company owns Christian AC “Air1” affiliate KAER (89.3) and contemporary Christian “K-Love” network affiliate KVKL (91.1).

Terms of the deal were not revealed.

“We are honored to acquire these stations and welcome them into the K-Love family,” Thomas Stultz, Chief Executive Officer of WMF/K-Love, Inc, added. “Both signals have long histories of serving their communities, and we look forward to building on that legacy as we expand our mission of delivering uplifting, positive programming to listeners in Charlotte, Las Vegas, and the surrounding areas.”
