BOZEMAN, Mont. — The Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks encourage the public to look out for warning signs for bear research being conducted in parts of the Custer Gallatin National Forest.
Starting Aug. 8, the department will join biologists with the interagency grizzly bear study team to begin capturing grizzly bears.
The captures are a part of ongoing efforts under the endangered species act to monitor the bears population in Yellowstone.
The field captures are set to last through august 28th.
