Artists are being asked to submit their work as part of a new public art commission for An Fál Carrach.
Donegal County Council has partnered with Coiste Glan agus Glas An Fháil Charraigh on the initiative.
They are calling on professional artists to apply for a new public art commission that will fit the folklore, history and natural environment of An Fál Carrach.
The permanent outdoor artwork, or series of works, will form part of a new Tree and Heritage Trail and should reflect the area’s Gaeltacht identity, its community and its connection to place.
Engagement with the local community will also form part of the creative process.
The budget for the commission is €55,000, and the deadline for entries is Friday, 11 September 2026 at 4.30pm.
As stated above, the location is in An Fál Carrach, and will be a two-stage open competition.
The funding will be provided by the CLÁR Developing Community Facilities and Amenities programm.
