Lady Louise Windsor arrived at the University of St Andrews in 2023 with a lower profile than most of her royal predecessors at the same institution. (See: her cousin Prince William.) She had spent years deliberately stepping back from the spotlight, opting not to use the styling “Her Royal Highness,” which was her legal right at age 18 as the granddaughter of a monarch. Instead, she has focused on a relatively private life. At St Andrews, where Prince William and Kate Middleton famously met more than two decades ago, she majored in English literature and, by most accounts, enjoyed a comfortable student experience.
This summer, she has attracted a different kind of attention, and it’s not been for her receiving her degree this past July. Several British outlets have reported that Louise, now 22, has been spending time with Felix da Silva-Clamp, also a student at St Andrews. The two have been photographed together on multiple occasions, though neither has commented publicly on the nature of their relationship. Below, get to know a bit more about Felix da Silva-Clamp:
Felix grew up between the UK and Australia.
Felix was born in Kensington in 2004, the son of Jonathan da Silva-Clamp, a London solicitor and former Conservative parliamentary candidate, and his wife Kendall, who is Australian. As noted by Tatler, the family later relocated to Australia, where Felix attended Melbourne Grammar School from 2017 to 2022 before heading to Scotland for university.

The university, located on the east coast of Scotland, is known for its close-knit student community and has long been a destination for students from across the United Kingdom and internationally. Beyond his enrollment at St Andrews, little has been reported about Felix’s course of study or background at the university.

In 2025, Felix accompanied Louise to the Sandringham Horse Driving Trials that June as well as the National Carriage Driving Championships at the Ashfields Carriage and Polo Club in August, where he was seen pumping his fist as she rode into the water during the competition. Lady Louise, who inherited her love of carriage driving from her grandfather Prince Philip, was seen getting close with Felix before the race and beaming as she completed the course. “He’s always been very supportive, but also leaves her alone to get on with the job,” Sara Howe, a carriage driving trainer, told Hello, further describing Felix as “just lovely.”
In November 2025, Felix took part alongside Lady Louise in the St Andrews Regiments’ Day Parade with the St Andrews University Officers’ Training Corps. Louise has been rumored to be considering joining the Armed Forces following her training in the Army Cadets at St Andrews. Should she do so, she would be the first female royal to join the Forces since her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, during World War II.

He was also present at her university graduation ceremony this summer and at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh when Louise received her Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award from her father, Prince Edward, in the presence of her mother, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh. Most recently, Felix was said to have joined the Edinburgh family as Lady Louise competed in the Glebe Estate Carriage Driving Trials in West Sussex in early August 2026.
