Fans are questioning Hilaria Baldwin’s place on Dancing with the Stars after a surprising elimination left some feeling she should have gone home instead.
Following the episode, Baldwin uploaded a video to Instagram showing her and husband Alec Baldwin dancing to “Shake It To The Max” by Ghanaian singer Molly and Jamaican producer Silent Addy.
In the clip, the couple raised their arms, flapped them back and forth, and leaned over while wiggling their hips. Toward the end of the video, the DWTS contestant laughed at her husband’s attempts to keep up with the routine. The yoga instructor captioned the post, “Alec tried our routine.”
While some followers found the lighthearted clip amusing, others didn’t hold back criticism. Several fans responded with “No” gifs or left comments such as “Yikes.” One commenter wrote, “I’ve actually been open to her, even with her dance history, but this is off putting to me.”
On Reddit, another viewer shared: “I feel like she’s not good enough to look like a pro and not interesting enough to look like a star — an awkward middle ground.” Someone else claimed, “I think she wrote this comment herself on a burner. I know people here wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, but she really doesn’t seem like a nice person and I don’t think she deserves it.”
She narrowly avoided being sent home during a week two double elimination, when Corey Feldman and Jenna Johnson, as well as Baron Davis and Britt Stewart, were voted off.
Most recently, Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui was eliminated on September 30, sparking frustration from fans who believed Baldwin should have been the one to leave.
On X, one fan wrote, “Lauren over Hilaria?!??!?! This is rigged.” Another added, “LAUREN SHOULD NOT BE GOING HOME.” A third viewer declared, “I’m about to stop watching after they saved Hilaria over Lauren.”
