Actor Isabel Lucas has listed her coastal Byron Bay retreat, which she has used when splitting her time over the last decade between Australia and the US.

The former Home and Away star bought the property for $857,500 in 2015, as she intently pursued her Hollywood career. It was bought with the help of mum and dad, Beatrice and Andrew.

Lucas, 40, found fame playing Tasha Andrews on Home and Away between 2003 and 2006, before appearing in films including Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in 2009, and more recently the sci-fi mystery Lunacy.

She retains a small Byron hinterland acreage at Federal, bought in 2023 for $1,775,000 with no registered mortgage.

With partner, American film director Cyrus Sutton, the couple are known for their wellness-focused lifestyle and environmental advocacy.

Lucas gave birth to son, Archer, late last year, with her Instagram posts showing the family enjoying Byron.

Her redundant home is close to Tallow Beach on the southern side of Byron Bay, with beach access through Arakwal National Park.

The two-level property, known as Sea Eagle, is part of the 2002-developed Oasis Resort community, but sits by itself on a 1080sq m block at the rear of the community.

The home has three levels, with 120sq m of internal living space, and 140sq m external space.

It has two-bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Lucas briefly listed the home in 2022, but pulled it after two weeks on the market.

The property is being marketed as an ideal permanent residence, holiday home or investment by First National Byron Bay agents Sharon McInnes and Paul Prior.

“Having roots and settling down is important,” Lucas told Stellar last October.

‘A private treetop escape.’

“Plans can always change, but we’re mostly based over there [America],” Lucas advised.

“We’re living on the land and setting up a retreat centre by the Columbia River,” she said of the Skamania County property located in the state of Washington.

“It will offer a variety of holistic health, beekeeping, homesteading skills and retreats.”

She hasn’t ruled out a return to the screen, but said it was “about finding the right roles and right projects”.
