The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer, 33, opened up about her relationship while attending the Camp Rock 3 premiere in Burbank, Calif., revealing that she has learned a lot during her first year of marriage.
“I’ve never been so happy in my life,” Lovato told People. “I’m so grateful to have such a supporting, loving partner.”
Lovato and Jutes, 35, celebrated their first wedding anniversary in May after tying the knot in California in 2025.
And when it comes to keeping their relationship strong, Lovato said one thing has stood out above the rest.
“I think communication is the biggest takeaway,” she said of what she has learned from marriage.

One year into marriage, Lovato said her feelings for Jutes have only gotten stronger.
The pop star previously admitted she didn’t realize it was possible to love her husband more than she did on their wedding day.
“I genuinely thought on my wedding day, ‘I can’t love this man any more than I already do,'” Lovato told People earlier this year.
But as the months passed, she realized her feelings continued to deepen.
Lovato has also described Jutes as her best friend and said the pair can stay up late laughing together until they cry.
The couple had to spend their first wedding anniversary apart because of their respective touring schedules, but they marked the milestone with loving tributes to each other on social media.

Lovato and Jutes’ romance began with a professional collaboration.
The pair met in January 2022 while working together on Lovato’s song “Substance,” which appeared on her album Holy F***.
Their friendship eventually turned romantic, and they then publicly confirmed their relationship in August 2022.
Jutes proposed in Los Angeles in December 2023 with a custom pear-shaped diamond engagement ring.
The couple married on May 25, 2025, in a romantic California ceremony, with Lovato walking down the aisle in a custom Vivienne Westwood gown.

Lovato’s latest comments about married life come as she celebrated another important part of her life: her return to Camp Rock.
The singer is reprising her role as Mitchie Torres in Camp Rock 3 after starring alongside the Jonas Brothers in the original 2008 Disney Channel movie and its 2010 sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.
Lovato is also serving as an executive producer on the new movie alongside Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas.
Camp Rock 3 premieres August 13 on Disney Channel before becoming available to stream on Disney+ the following day.
