A crash involving a truck has closed State Highway 27 north of Tīrau, police say.

Emergency services were called to the crash between Frances St and MacMillan Rd about 11.40am.

“State Highway 27 is temporarily closed just north of Tirau Golf Club after a collision involving a car and
a truck this morning,” police said.

“Indications are that there are moderate injuries.
