Rihanna’s kids may know her as mom, but the superstar is slowly introducing them to her world—from taking them to starry events, late-night shopping trips around the world, and now, to her native Barbados.
In a new Instagram post, the “Diamonds” singer shared photos and a video of herself with her babies on Rihanna Drive: a street in Bridgetown, Barbados, named after the artist and now recognized as a cultural landmark.
In the images, Rihanna wears a stretchy black asymmetric maxi dress and black thong sandals. She accessorized with some gold jewelry and a red lip. The mom of three carries her 10-month-old daughter, Rocki Irish Mayers, and at the same time holds hands with three-year-old son Riot Rose Mayers. Her and A$AP Rocky’s eldest child, four-year-old son RZA Athelston Mayers, stands cooly next to them while in a Spider-Man outfit and blue shades.
Riot wears a white striped top and jean shorts, while Rocki is adorable in a frilly red outfit and space buns.
The photos and video show the very relatable mom struggles that go into getting your little kids to pose for a photo and smile. Rihanna—she’s just like us.
“One minute I feel like that kid from Westbury…the next minute I’m bringing my own kids back to ‘Rihanna Drive’ Trippy how life works! And the Glory STILL and WILL ALWAYS belong to the Almighty Creator!!!” Rihanna wrote in her caption.
The location of the monument is where Rihanna grew up, and where her childhood home remains. At the head of the street, there is a memorial plaque with a quote from her: “Welcome to Rihanna Drive… My home. My whole life was shaped on this very road. I was just a little island girl riding bikes, running around barefoot and flying kites in the cemetery, but I had BIG dreams. Dreams that were born and realized right here.”
