SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – On Tuesday, Aug. 11, the Orpheum in Downtown Sioux City unveiled three new portraits.
The portraits are of four people who have been connected to the Orpheum throughout the years, including:
Irving Jensen, Jr., the former president of the Orpheum Theatre Preservation Project. Marvin Kline, vice president of the project, who kept the project alive for years before the restoration was completed. Jim and Do Yanney, who helped kick-start the restoration project. Jim facilitated the purchase of the Orpheum Theatre from the Resolution Trust in the 1970s after the savings and loan bankruptcy crisis.
