Lane reopened on Auckland Harbour Bridge after police incident, delays ongoing

Police said it temporarily closed one of the outer northbound lanes on the Auckland Harbour Bridge due to an incident around 7.15am.

“The lane is now clear and traffic is moving freely.”

NZTA earlier said the left northbound lane was closed.

It said to expect delays and consider alternative routes.

Earlier, traffic was gridlocked from the bridge back to Spaghetti Junction heading north.

Inquiries into the incident are continuing, police said.

St John Ambulance have been approached for comment.
