In the Xperia 10 VIII, Sony sticks to a conservative design and also uses the same processor as the Xperia 10 VII. In return, the company offers a brighter screen and better sound.
The appearance of the Sony Xperia 10 VIII fully corresponds to the previous leak and is quite specific for a modern smartphone, but its front camera does not clutter the screen. The phone also has a separate camera shutter button and a function that provides access to QR codes and discount cards by double-pressing the power button. Sony traditionally keeps a microSD slot and a headphone jack in its own devices, which distinguishes them on the market.
The phone has a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1080 x 2340, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Sony promises a 50% brighter screen than its predecessor.
The dual speakers have been upgraded to provide fuller sound, according to the company. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor is unlikely to surprise with better performance than last year, and it is combined with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The phone runs on Android 16.
The camera unit includes a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.56″ sensor and a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The battery has also not changed since 2025 and has a capacity of 5000 mAh. The manufacturer promises up to 2 days of battery life. The Xperia 10 VIII has traditional Sony pastel colors – Frozen White, Frosted Grey and Misty Lilac. The smartphone will appear on the global market towards the end of September and will cost €599.
