Lauren Jauregui is speaking out for the first time since she was shockingly eliminated during the Tuesday, Sept. 30 episode of Dancing With The Stars.
The Fifth Harmony singer took to her Instagram Stories shortly after filming wrapped to share her thoughts on the surprising results.
“Hi everyone, you already know your girl’s a Cancer [zodiac sign] so I’ve been crying nonstop, but I just wanted to say thank you to everybody who voted and for all the beautiful messages that I’m seeing online,” she said while still wearing her costume for the night. “I wish I could tell you to vote, but I can’t anymore.”
“I hope you enjoyed the dance. I wish I could’ve left you guys with a better one. We had something beautiful planned next week so I’m really bummed we can’t show you guys that,” she continued. “But alas it is what it is, and I’m so grateful for the experience. So thank you guys for tuning in.”
Jauregui ended the message by assuring fans she’ll still be active on social media throughout the season if they want to keep up with her there.

Before their elimination, Jauregui and her professional partner Brandon Armstrong were considered frontrunners for the Mirrorball Trophy. After the episode, Armstrong’s wife Brylee spoke on her husband and Jauregui’s season 34 run via TikTok.
“This was an opportunity to do something for herself apart from Fifth Harmony and to really come into her own, and for it to get cut short is just really disappointing,” Brylee said. “She’s like family to us now, we absolutely love her.”
When the results were announced at the end of the show, Jauregui was asked how she felt about her elimination by host Julianne Hough. Jauregui responded in one, telling word: Pissed.
Since the episode aired Tuesday night, DWTS fans have taken social media by storm to protest the elimination. Some fans are advocating for the return of the “Judge’s Save” from seasons 28-31, which gave Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough the final say on who was sent home.
Others questioned who was voting for Hilaria Baldwin and her partner Gleb Savchenko, as there’s been growing backlash among fans over her previous dance experience.

After the first two weeks of competition, Jauregui and Armstrong were tied in third with Alix Earle & Val Chmerkovskiy and Jen Affleck & Jan Ravnik for the highest cumulative scores. The only couples above them on the leaderboard were Baldwin & Savchenko, Whitney Leavitt & Mark Ballas, and Robert Irwin & Witney Carson.
Dancing With The Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+.
