Ribbon Cutting Outdoor

GIRARD – Local photographer Megan Flynn cut the ribbon on her brand-new studio space on Saturday.

The downtown Girard photography and creative studio will house Flynn Studios.

The space is set to welcome in other photographers who may not be able to afford a permanent indoor studio of their own.

In a release, Flynn stated that the space is aimed at giving other local photographers access to a professional indoor setting with the flexibility of renting.

It also serves as an ideal space for Flynn to maintain her own photography business and portrait sessions.

Flynn began her photography business, MMFlynn, out of a passion for “capturing people in a natural and authentic way” she said.

She has done sessions photographing couples, families, seniors, professionals, children and local businesses throughout Mahoning and Trumbull counties.

“Photography started as a hobby I loved, and over the last couple years it has grown into so much more than I ever expected,” Flynn said.

A dedicated studio, however, opens up new opportunities for Flynn and expands the types of sessions she can offer all year long. The indoor studio space hosts a variety of backdrop and furniture options, as well as seasonal sets.

“Opening my own studio has been something I’ve been working toward over the last three years,” Flynn said. “I wanted to create a space that felt comfortable and beautiful for my own clients, but I also wanted it to be a resource for other photographers in our area. I’m excited to have a place in Girard where people can come in, create and feel at home.”

Flynn Studios is located at 9 W. Liberty St in Girard.
