I’ve been following the FDA recall website for years, and have never seen this many contaminated foods and products.
This regime has gutted the FDA and we’re beginning to see the effects.
It’s not just lettuce, eggs, jalapenos, blueberries and alfalfa sprouts. It’s also pet food, medical devices and medication.
Here are just a few examples from the FDA website: ( I wonder how long they’ll keep posting the recalls.)
1. Baxter Drug’s 70% Dextrose Injection has “Potential presence of particulate matter identified as stainless steel particles in the solution.”
STAINLESS STEEL?
This is the stuff that people who get IV nutrition at home —about 40,000 people — rely on.
2. Baxter also recalled their Anticoagulant Sodium Citrate Solution, because it has pieces of fiberglass in it. This is used to slow down blood clotting during apheresis procedures (where a machine separates blood into its parts).

3. Fresenius Kabi recalled their Tyenne injection, used for people with rheumatoid arthritis. The reason for the recall: the “Presence of Glass Particles.”
4. Optiray recalled their Ioversol Injection, which is used as a as a radiographic contrast agent. Reason: “Presence of particulate matter comprising polyethylene and other plastic materials, stainless steel and glass.”
5. American Regent recalled their Adequan injection for both dogs and horses, used to treat joint dysfunction. Reason: “Visible glass fiber material in the product.”
6. Northwest Naturals Dog Food has issued a recall due to “Potential contamination with Salmonella and/or Listeria monocytogenes.”

7. Oma’s Pride Dog Food has issued a recall. Reason: “Contaminated with Salmonella.”
8. Lundberg Family Farms has recalled their White Jasmine Rice due to “potential contamination with foreign material.”

Unfortunately, I could go on and on. We need to be extra vigilant these days. I check the FDA recall site regularly.
Let’s hope the media + citizen awareness and complaints puts enough pressure to make the administration re-hire at least some of the fired FDA staff. Sometimes it works.
