Meanwhile, Allone Landscape & Design director Cameron Griffiths received a five-year ban from managing a company.
Liquidators for Allone Landscape & Design filed a serious problem report with the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) regarding the director’s alleged mismanagement of the company.
The liquidators said they wrote off an overdrawn shareholders’ current account debt of $67,764 after attempts to pursue Griffiths went without response or payment.
The company also allegedly owed $119,293.01 to Inland Revenue in preferential claims, according to a liquidator’s report.
Carl Reinecke, director of Berit Holdings, IPassive NZ and Redcrow Auckland, received a five-year ban.
He was also a former director and shareholder of Armour.
Elize Reinecke, director of Armour, was given a three-year ban.
And Peter Fussell, director of No Fuss Financial Services, was handed a four-year prohibition from managing a company.
The five company directors were banned under section 385 of the Companies Act 1993.
Section 385 allows the Registrar of Companies to prohibit a person from being a director where they were involved in running a company that failed, and their management contributed to that failure.
“It helps protect the public and creditors, reinforces appropriate standards of company management, and supports confidence in New Zealand’s company regime,” a Companies Office spokesperson said.
MBIE has publicly banned 20 directors through the first seven months of the year.
In May, Podular home builder Charles Innes was handed a 10-year ban – the maximum duration under section 385.
Banned directors in June and July:
