The Madring Circuit hosts the 14th round of the 2026 Formula 1 season, becoming the new home of the Spanish Grand Prix as Madrid replaces Barcelona on the calendar.

Mercedes looked strong on Friday, topping both practice sessions. George Russell set the pace in FP1 with a 1:34.077, before team-mate Kimi Antonelli went quickest in FP2, clocking a 1:33.662 to lead a Mercedes 1-2 across the day.

Ferrari remained close behind, however, with Charles Leclerc just 0.113s adrift in second during the afternoon session and Lewis Hamilton a further few hundredths back in third.

Now it is time for drivers to turn up the wick.

FP3 offers the final opportunity to fine-tune set-ups before the serious business of qualifying begins later this afternoon.
