A Tauranga man has been charged in relation to damage to political hoardings in Pāpāmoa.

Police say reports were received after hoardings were damaged on Parton Rd at about 6.30am on Thursday.

About 30 hoardings of various kinds were reported damaged across Pāpāmoa over a two-hour period, Senior Sergeant Shannon
Clifford, area manager response said.

Clifford thanked members of the public who reported the incidents.

A 43-year-old Tauranga man faces four charges of wilful damage.
