The cheeky remark happened during an interview the two actresses gave to the Therapuss Podcast, hosted by Jake Shane, while promoting their recent film Practical Magic 2.
Bullock appeared to imply that Kidman would be able to relate to the listener’s conundrum, as the person admitted they had to sit through her partner’s music demos despite not liking his work.
Amid the laughter, Bullock suggested the listener should say: “I feel what you are trying to say with your music is not something that resonates with me but I hope that it resonates with everyone else”.
“You have the right to make any music you want,” Kidman added.
Social media users overwhelmingly agreed that Bullock’s quip was a subtle dig at Kidman’s ex.
“Sandra’s messy as hell and I love her for it,” one person commented.
“This is girlhood,” someone else said.
“Sandra, the comedy queen that you are,” another person commented.
It is not the first time Bullock has shown her support for Kidman after her divorce from Urban, which the couple finalised this year.
In a joint interview with British Vogue, Bullock commented on Kidman’s life after her separation, saying: “It seems both of our mothers raised very independent women”.
