Anne-Marie’s family ties to the British royals illustrate just how involved the House of Windsor has been with the Greek and Danish royal families throughout the years. Prince Philip, a first cousin once removed of Constantine, was an honoured guest in the congregation, as was his uncle, Lord Mountbatten. There was also British representation from Princess Alexandra of Kent and Angus Ogilvy and Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent.
The bride and groom’s parents all attended the illustrious event, as did Princess Anne-Marie’s grandfather, King Gustaf VI Adolf of Sweden, and Constantine’s grandmother, Princess Victoria Louise, Duchess of Brunswick. Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands were seated in the pews, as were King Olav V of Norway, King Baudouin and Queen Fabiola of Belgium, King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit of Thailand, King Hussein and Princess Muna of Jordan, King Umberto II and Queen Marie José of Italy, Tsar Simeon II and Tsaritsa Margarita of Bulgaria, Queen Anne of Romania, Queen Helen of Romania, Queen Farida of Egypt, the Duchess of Aosta, Prince Franz Joseph II and Princess Gina of Liechtenstein, Grand Duke Jean and Grand Duchess Joséphine Charlotte of Luxembourg, Prince Juan Carlos and Princess Sofia of Spain, Prince Michael of Greece, the Count and Countess of Barcelona and the Duke and Duchess of Braganza.
