EASTON, Pa. – Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da, life goes on — but one thing remains the same.

Everybody lined up outside State Theatre Center for the Arts Thursday night “love, love, loves” the Beatles.

“That’s putting it lightly,” Talia Seidner, from Collegeville, said. “Thank you Ringo, and thank you, the Beatles, for still being amazing all these years later.”

“Huge Beatles fan, huge fan of Ringo,” Steve Day, from Coopersburg, said.

Fans with “tickets to ride” into the State Theatre got to see Ringo Starr And His All Starr Band in concert.

“First time ever I’m seeing a Beatle,” Doris, from Delaware Water Gap, said. “And I’m such a Beatles fan.”

“Experiencing with my friends,” said Jeff Fritz, from South Jersey, who was there with Day and their friend Ben Post, from Bryn Mawr. “And just seeing all the different generations here.”

Speaking of friends from different generations, Tylisa Enchautegui, from Whitehall, was also there with her friend, Seidner.

“We met online because we love the Beatles,” Enchautegui said.

It was a true testament to the band’s timelessness.

“The first Beatles song I remember ever hearing was ‘When I’m 64’ when I was really little in the car,” Seidner said.

Actually, it’s been around 64 years since the Beatles’ first single was released.

But no matter how long it’s been, most everyone can remember where they were when they heard their first Beatles song.

“I was at my grandmother’s house for Sunday dinner,” Post said. “I saw them on Ed Sullivan at the age of 4.”

“My dad showed me them when I was 14,” Seidner said. “We were in the car together.”

“I was in probably fourth grade and my brother had gotten a tape of ‘Hey Jude,’” Fritz said. “Listened to it and didn’t turn it off all night.

“My first album was ‘Help,'” Doris said.

“Ringo, thank you for coming to the Lehigh Valley,” Enchautegui said. “I love you.”
