CINCINNATI (WKRC) — Ohio consumers who bought certain generic prescription drugs between 2009 and 2019 may be eligible for compensation under a multistate settlement involving manufacturers accused of inflating prices.
A federal judge in Connecticut has preliminarily approved a plan to distribute about $96.5 million paid by Glenmark, Lannett, Bausch, Apotex, Heritage and Heritage’s parent company, Emcure.
The states alleged the companies and some executives conspired to limit competition and raise prices for certain generic drugs. The manufacturers have denied wrongdoing and settled without admitting liability.
Consumers can review the list of eligible drugs and register for updates at AGGenericDrugs.com. They may also call 1-866-290-0182 or email info@AGGenericDrugs.com.
The website currently directs consumers to register to be notified about the claims process. Ohio is among the states and territories involved in the cases.
