Several dozen searchers were involved in Saturday’s operation, alongside drones, search dogs, a helicopter and ground teams.
Land Search and Rescue volunteers have searched the Shotover River, Devil’s Creek and nearby catchments.
“We’re hoping to get some sort of indication of where she may have been or obviously find Erika,” Fookes said.
Rodrigues Coelho is a Brazilian national living in Queenstown.
Police were alerted to her disappearance on Sunday, September 20, after she had not been seen or heard from since Friday.
Coastguard Queenstown used an underwater drone to search a mountain tarn near Skippers Saddle.
Her rental vehicle, a white Toyota RAV4 with a black roof and registration RKM122, was found at Skippers Saddle near Coronet Peak on Monday.
Police believe it had been parked there sometime during the afternoon or evening of Friday, September 18.

Police and Rodrigues Coelho’s family remain concerned for her welfare.
