The 50-year-old’s filing also expressed concern over investigators’ treatment of Panettiere’s personal belongings during the probe into her death, as well as concern over “an individual” who appeared to have access to the Nashville actress’ home before her death.
The filing stated: “Locks to Hayden’s Home were changed by the security service following Hayden’s death, and storage units containing designer clothing and accessories worn to public appearances have been relocated as a precaution.
“Notwithstanding the foregoing, it is expected that the individual will continue to try and misappropriate property belonging to Hayden’s Estate.”
A hearing regarding Klitschko’s status as Kaya’s guardian has been set for December 7.
He and Panettiere dated on and off between 2009 and 2018, and he received full custody of Kaya back in 2018.
In a tribute to the actor following her death, Klitschko branded Panettiere “an important part” of his and his daughter’s life.
He said in a statement: “To our daughter Kaya, I will always speak of her mother with respect and make sure she remembers the person she was.
“I extend my deepest condolences to Hayden’s parents, her friends, and her fans, who are also grieving today. Young and talented people like Hayden should not leave this world so soon.”
