Racing NSW Stewards revealed on Monday the Nathan Doyle galloper had been found to be lame in the near foreleg after his unplaced effort in the Premiere Stakes at Randwick on Saturday.
It means Yulong will need to find a replacement runner before October 18.
“It’s obviously disappointing, but we need to do what is best for the horse,” Yulong COO, Sam Fairgray, said in a statement.
Yulong already has Angel Capital and Magic Time in the race, running for other slot-holders.
