Kate Gosselin did a TikTok live from her hospital bed on Sept. 30 at 8:30 p.m. EST. The mom of eight underwent surgery after her dog Meika ran into her at full speed, fracturing one of the bones in her leg.

The former reality star, 50, was rushed to the hospital after suffering the medical emergency. Earlier in the day, she took to TikTok to ask fans for prayers.

“Please pray for me tonight and tomorrow. I will be fine, but I’m scared and would appreciate your prayers,” she captioned a post. After undergoing surgery, Gosselin popped up again on TikTok with an update.

“Update: I had surgery this morning and have five pain meds on board (top 3 most painful surgery),” she wrote. “I am not in a position to go into the details now but only bc I can’t focus. I did well. Details coming soon. CANNOT thank you enough for all your prayers! Love you guys!”

During her TikTok live, Gosselin answered questions from fans and took advice of items that she might need during her recovery, ranging from pillows to a shower chair. While chatting into her phone, Gosselin was accompanied by her boyfriend.

Gosselin, who is currently living in North Carolina and working as a nurse, recently revealed that she’s in a relationship and has been for “a little over a year.” It didn’t take long for media outlets to report that Gosselin was dating her former bodyguard Steve Neild, whom she was rumored to have had an affair with while she was married to Jon Gosselin.

During her TikTok live on Sept. 30, Gosselin accidentally called her boyfriend by his first name, “Steve,” which got a rise out of her fans.

Gosselin recently joined TikTok and has already had a few of her posts go viral.

“Hi, guys! A lot of you are wondering if this is actually me and my account,” Gosselin said in one of her early posts on the platform. “I just wanted to come on here really quick and let you know that this is actually my account, I’m just waiting for TikTok to verify me. So, if you’re wondering if you’re checking out — and I don’t blame you ‘cuz I do it too — know that it is my account and there’s going to be a lot of dogs on it. And kids, but mostly dogs. And me. I’m in my German Shepard dog mom era. Is that how they say it? You know what I mean.”
