Kimi Antonelli has extended his lead in the F1 drivers’ championship following the final Sprint of the 2026 season in Singapore, due to George Russell crashing out.

Russell had taken the lead of the sprint on the opening lap, before crashing at the final corner ahead of the second lap.

To aid Antonelli’s recovery from seventh on the grid, both McLarens spun on the last lap, caused by Lando Norris hitting Oscar Piastri. It saw the Italian finish in fourth and extend his title lead to 89 points over Russell.

Max Verstappen won the sprint from Lewis Hamilton, the latter now sitting 104 points behind Antonelli and 15 shy of Russell.
