No assets had as yet been identified to satisfy creditors.
The company had operated as a charity until May, when it was deregistered over a failure to file annual accounts.
Its most recent accounts filed, to December 2022, show financial problems were apparent years ago.
The accounts show negative equity of -$87,919, against total assets of just $159,673. That year had seen a deficit recorded of $95,906, atop a similar loss of $43,666 the year prior.
The school seems to have ceased operations at the end of last year, and the most recent Education Review Office (ERO) report, from 2024, said it was a private combined primary and secondary school based in Tuakau with a roll of 48.
The ERO then said the school was meeting all its requirements to operate.
The school’s website, now offline, said its vision was “for our students to thrive, to be confident and to be prepared to fulfil their God–given calling”.
The school was said to have opened in 2013 with nine students, and been fully registered the following year.
The most recent prospectus published by the school listed fees for senior students of $11,400 annually.
Willem van Rensberg founded the school, served as its principal, and was the sole director of the company when liquidators were appointed.
He did not return calls requesting comment.
Notes to the 2022 accounts show Rhijnsburg Bookkeepers (RBK), directed and owned by van Rensberg and his wife, were listed as a related party providing teaching, principal and bookkeeping services.
RBK was paid $236,395 in the 2022 year, and $189,664 the year prior.
The company’s shareholder is listed as Eden Christian Academy, understood to be a related charity which was deregistered in June.
