The Givealittle page, set up to help ease the financial burden on Chloe and her family, said she was rushed into emergency surgery “to relieve pressure on her brain” and now “faces the fight of her life”.

“Anyone who knows Chloe knows what an incredibly strong, fit and determined young woman she is,” the fundraiser said.
“She has a heart of gold, and her kind, caring and loving nature touches everyone lucky enough to know her.
“If anyone has the strength and determination to face this battle, it’s Chloe. And she won’t be facing it alone.”
The page has so far raised more than $14,000.
“As Chloe begins what could be a long and challenging road to recovery, her parents, Kathy and Kevin, need to be by her side, focusing all their energy on supporting their beautiful girl.
“No family should have to worry about finances when their child is fighting for her life.”
An update on the injured teen’s progress said Chloe spoke for the first time after surgery today and was showing improvements every day. She had even tried to sit up and open her eyes.
