Welcome to Your Week in Asia.

China reports its gross domestic product figures in the wake of posting a 36% year-on-year increase in exports in September. The robust trade activity, on display at the recent Canton Fair, has eased pressure on policymakers to stimulate domestic demand to meet the country’s economic growth target.

Vietnamese President To Lam heads to the European Union for talks with officials from the bloc as well as national governments amid efforts by both sides to boost trade. Major jewelry company Pandora, headquartered in Denmark, one of the nations the Vietnamese leader will visit, recently opened its largest factory in Ho Chi Minh City.
