The announcement marks the formal end of their marriage between one of New Zealand radio’s most recognisable couples.
Feeney and Harvey were together for 18 years before separating in 2018. In the years since, they have become something of a poster couple for an amicable break-up, maintaining a close friendship and continuing to work together professionally.
Rather than going their separate ways, the former spouses have remained a constant presence in each other’s lives.
Feeney previously told the Herald they live about 3km apart, meet regularly for coffee and share responsibility for their beloved dog, Kanye, even maintaining a shared bank account to cover the pet’s expenses.

The pair’s unusually close friendship has extended beyond co-parenting their dog. In 2023, they holidayed together in Bali alongside their respective partners.
The group shared Bintangs, beach clubs and local cuisine together – visiting temples, animal parks and seeing the beautiful natural surroundings of the tourist hotspot, the Herald reported.
They even booked the same accommodation.
“We stayed at two-bedroom villas and had a fabulous time and did the whole trip together,” Feeney told the Herald at the time.
Their professional partnership has also endured.
In 2024 the couple started Podlab, a podcast studio for hire and content producing services and both continue to produce their own podcasts.
Since 2022, Harvey has hosted The Dom Harvey Podcast and this year Feeney started her own podcast, How To Have Sex with relationship coach Melissa Vranjes.
In true radio fashion, they announced their separation live on their breakfast show in August 2017.
“Dom and I are currently living apart,” a tearful Feeney told listeners on The Edge.
“We’ve decided to separate.”
Harvey had said the “magic spark has gone” and said the pair were now more like “siblings”.
“It’s one of those things that kind of sucks but I bet there a lot of people that can relate to it,” he said.
“It’s not a joke, it’s very hard to tell you. We’re really good, and there’s no fighting or anything like that. We’re absolutely 100% cool and fine.”
