Like the Broncos, the Warriors are yet to have their full line-up confirmed, however, Randell said Shaun Johnson would be one of the three players representing the club.
The rivalry tee times come with the event being broadcast into Australia for the second year, with Randell noting it was a good opportunity to give Australian eyes a glimpse at what the New Zealand golf scene has to offer.
“Ryan Fox has become a star in the last year or so and there has been a lot of interest from Australia,” Randell said.
“We broadcast on to Fox Sports last year and will be broadcast into Australia this year. He plays in the Australian Open and is a big star over there, so there is a lot of interest from the teams and that was always the vision to make this transtasman.”
The All Blacks’ involvement was the last of the trios to be announced for this year’s edition.
She Loves Golf (Tania Tare, Amelia Garvey and Vivian Lu), Legends (Eric Murray, Tom Abercrombie and Kieran Read), Black Caps, Warriors and All Blacks (line-ups to be confirmed) are all returning – though some have had personnel changes – while Creators (Mac Boucher, Luke Kwon and Taco Golf), the Wallabies and Broncos are newcomers to the arena.
“We’ve basically curated a field that is of quality crossover golfers,” Randell said.
“Still a few names to confirm, but we go through the field and it was important to Foxy and I to get quality golfers as much as stars in their own field, and great guys as well.”
He added: “It is cool to see these big sporting organisations put their hands up to enter the field to take on Foxy and Hillier. At the end of the day, they all choose their own charity for prize money we’ll put up. So, the winning team will win prize money for their chosen charity.”
