Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a secret home in the UK during the first year of their marriage. The couple, who quit their royal roles in 2020 before moving to the USA, tied the knot in Windsor in May 2018. Now, six years later, they’re back.

The Sussexes spent over half a decade living in a multi-million-dollar home in Califonia, but, prior to their move, they lived at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor at the time of their son’s birth in 2019. As well as Frogmore Cottage, the couple had a farmhouse, known as Westfield Large, in the Cotswolds. They are now reportedly living in the Cotswolds again.

The couple are said to have signed a two-year lease on their Westfield Large home shortly before getting married, with the property said to have been worth £2.5million in 2018. Located near to Soho House and the Beckham family’s estate, Westfield Large boasted four acres and had four bedrooms.

Meghan and Harry are reported to have stayed at the property while renovations at Frogmore Cottage were being carried out. According to sources via The Sun, Harry and Meghan loved to host their A-list friends including George and Amal Clooney, Serena Williams, and Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas “in complete solitude”.

The couple are said to have been forced to move out of the property in May 2019 – around the time of Archie’s birth – after paparazzi photographs of the inside of their home were published – which posed a security threat.

A statement released by the Royal Family at the time read: “The syndication and publication of the photographs very seriously undermined the safety and security of the Duke and the home to the extent that they are no longer able to live at the property.”

Now, life in the UK looks a little different than it did before for Meghan and Harry who moved back to the UK at the end of August. In their first couple of months back on British soil, the pair were spotted out and about making the most of the local watering holes in the area.

They largely kept a low profile, with reports suggesting Meghan was focusing on supporting her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who also joined them on the move. The Duke and Duchess undertook their first official appearamce together in Nottingham earlier this month. Although they are not working members of the Royal Family, the day mimicked a a typical royal engagement.
