
Phyllis Applegate (Birdie Lawrence)
Phyllis Applegate guest-starred on Glee as Birdie Lawrence, a member of the Show Choir Rules Committee, in the Season 4 episode “Makeover,” which aired in 2012.
Though her screen time was brief, her role added to the challenges the glee club faced as they tried to reinvent themselves. Outside of Glee, the actress had a long career in theater, film, and television. She passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving behind a legacy of diverse performances over many decades.

Michael Lerner (Sidney Greene)
Michael Lerner guest-starred on Glee as Sidney Greene, a seasoned Broadway producer overseeing the revival of Funny Girl. He appeared in five episodes across Seasons 4 and 5 (2013–2014), playing a pivotal role in Rachel Berry’s journey toward stardom on the stage.
He brought gravitas and charm to the character, adding depth to the show’s theatrical storylines. Outside of Glee, the actor had a prolific acting career spanning film, television, and theater. He passed away on April 8, 2023, at the age of 81.
