Electric scooter rider critical after collision with car in central Auckland

An electric scooter rider has been critically injured after a collision with a car in central Auckland this afternoon.

Police were notified of the collision at the intersection of Mount St and Symonds St at 4.05pm.

Motorists and pedestrians are asked to follow directions from emergency services staff at the
scene.

Auckland Transport is warning of detours for several bus routes as a result of an “emergency service incident”.
