Former Strictly Come Dancing star, Pete Wicks, has addressed his kiss with co-star, Jowita Przystal.

The reality star, 36, took part in Series 22 of the hit BBC show last year, with him and Jowita’s chemistry ending up as the talk of the town.

In recent months, Jowita and Pete have continued to stir relationship rumours after the two were caught kissing on stage at the O2 Arena in London last month.

Now the TOWIE star has admitted it was in fact all in the name of showbiz – and they were both simply performing a routine they would have done if they had made it to the final.

During a chat about Pete’s new show For Dogs’ Sake he was asked about the elephant in the room by Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, the Mirror reported.

He said: “It’s all part of the choreography, it’s the magic of showbiz. Jowita is such a good friend of mine and that dance was something we didn’t get to do on Strictly because we didn’t make the final because I was useless!”

This year, Jowita had something of an early exit from the programme when she and showbiz guru Ross King, who is best known for appearing on ITV’s Lorraine, were eliminated in the second week.

Asked if he ever gets jealous of Jowita’s new partners, he isnsited that is never the case and he relishes in his decision to ‘never’ head back to the dance floor.

He added: “It’s a choreographed thing, she’s a very good friend of mine, obviously she was paired up with Ross, sadly they went out.

“I love [watching her now.] I spent three months in dance prison and thankfully was released in the semi-final, and I will never go back again.”

His comments come just days after he turned up to support Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison, who is currently competing on the show, and admitted the whole thing had left him feeling ‘so awkward’ in the moment.

Chatting on his Staying Relevant podcast, he revealed to co-host Sam Thompson: “I got so awkward. Bear in mind I wasn’t drunk either. I was driving so I was sober. So I was even more awkward.

“I didn’t know what to do. So, I went over the top and I started shouting ‘Yay!’ And then I thought, why am I doing that?

“I’ve seen the clip, and I look f****** mental… I look possessed.” Pete has backed his mate Vicky, who’s been partnered with Kai Widdrington, to go far in this year’s series.

He revealed: “I have never seen anyone so f****** nervous. There were tears. There was all sorts before before she’d even f****** got there.

“She is scared of her own shadow the f****** woman. It is mental. But she absolutely smashed it out of the park.”

Pete is confident that Vicky will continue to impress on the dance floor, stating: “I would bet my house that she’s not going anywhere.

“That’s the first stage completed. You weren’t the first out.” According to Pete, Vicky has a natural talent for dancing. He revealed: “I know Vic well. And the biggest problem she’s going to have is nerves… I saw her dance before the live show. She’s actually a good dancer.”

Before her performance, Pete encouraged Vicky by saying: “You’ve already f****** surpassed anything I f****** did.

“Imagine how nervous I was. I can’t dance… But you can actually you’ve actually got something to back this up. So you just need to go out and do what you’ve done before.”

Vicky followed his advice and scored an impressive 24 points for her foxtrot to Sam Fender’sRein Me In.

However, a less successful salsa to Dizzee Rascal’s Bonkers resulted in former Apprentice contestant Thomas Skinner being the first celebrity to be eliminated this year.
